Axy 5 S is the evolution of the Axy 4 platform and integrates a magnetometer plus fully scheduled recordings, allowing researchers to maximize battery life by recording only when needed. It records tri-axial acceleration for fine-scale behavioural classification and energy-expenditure studies. A built-in temperature sensor is included, while a high-accuracy pressure/temperature sensor (TDR) can be integrated for diving or flying species.
